DC Power Jack

A DC power socket, also known as a DC jack or DC connector, is a device used to connect a cable to a power source that supplies direct current (DC) power. It is commonly used in electronic devices such as laptops, cameras, and routers, as well as in automotive and marine applications. The socket typically has a cylindrical shape with a central pin and an outer ring. The pin is connected to the positive terminal of the power source, while the ring is connected to the negative terminal. When a cable is plugged into the socket, it makes contact with both the pin and the ring, allowing the DC power to flow. Some DC power sockets also have additional pins or contacts for other functions such as data transfer or audio output. DC power sockets may be rated for different voltage and current levels depending on the application.
